BUBBLES

BUBBLES is a small vase printed in 3D from the ceramic material porcelain.

First, a bubble wrap formed into a cylinder was scanned using a 3D scanner. Since the scanner could not correctly detect the transparent material, it scanned the outer and inner layers of the air-filled film.

This resulted in an interesting surface with inwardly and outwardly curved hemispheres.

A particularly small nozzle was used for printing, so that very fine porcelain strings were layered on top of each other layer. In this way an object was created, which is characterized by an very filigree wall structure.
